Lilabungalow: "We Need You To Bake With Us The Finest Vinyl"

Thanks Patrick for answering. Published December 05 2014.

Lilabungalow are a German HutzeButz band hailing from Erfurt. They've just released the first single from their new album Peace To Gold. And they're funding a vinyl edition of this album on Visionbakery with a Christmas baking at the moment. I talked to the brain behind Lilabungalow, Patrick, about the campaign and their plans ...

50K MUSIC: Who are Lilabungalow? Where do you come from? What are your (musical) roots?
Patrick: Lilabungalow are John Starlight, Caramel Diaz and Patricia Kies. In the moment we are living in Erfurt and Weimar in the heart of Germany. The musical roots are really divers. We have J.S. Bach in the beginning and Beck in the end. And in between many Artists from De la Soul, Radiohead, Deus, Queens of Stonage and many many more.

50K MUSIC: You've just started your Visionbakery project to fund a vinyl edition of your upcoming album. Are you happy with how it‘s going so far?
Patrick: The people like our project and the video stuff but we need even more support in donations and spreading.

50K MUSIC: Why should people consider baking your vinyl album with you?
Patrick: Cause they love what we do.

50K MUSIC: …and what can we expect from Peace To Gold musically?
Patrick: It is the next step for the band in composing and sound. Peace to Gold is a very fast composed album mainly produced and written by Rene, Dave and myself. And our first creative work together on a record and all around it.

50K MUSIC: You’re on a living room concert tour through Switzerland at the moment. Please tell us a bit about that.
Patrick: This is really quite exciting. And I am very grateful for this experience. Every evening I am entering a really private area of a person. And the distance between me and the audience is very small. I like the fact that I welcome the people every single one personal before the concert and afterwards we are often sitting and talking about everything. It is this personal surrounding which opens the people and brings us much closer in mind.

50K MUSIC: Beyond your music you’re supporting Viva con Agua. What ist the idea behind VcA and why are you supporters?
Patrick: VcA are young people supporting drinking water projects in 3rd world countries. The way they’re doing it is wonderful easy. On concerts or festivals they are collecting cups and bottles and on this way you can donate your deposit. Beyond they are working really close with artists and especially art, installation and events. This makes it very energetic and really fun.

50K MUSIC: What else do you plan for the next few months?
Patrick: There a loads of things coming up. On December 5th the first single Peace To Gold will be released with a video, where many of our friends have taken a part.

On December 12 we will play our first album presentation in Basel/Switzerland and film our second single coming with the release of the album on February 27th. After this we will go on tour and present the stuff to the people.

50K MUSIC: And last one - anything you want your fans and bakers to know?
Patrick: Love goes through the ears, too. To transport love with the most heartily sound we need you to bake with us the finest vinyl.
