You definitely could call Fleur Jack a multitalent and music enthusiast. Every Monday to Friday she presents new independent music on I.A.N., her own radio show on KiwiFM. She is singer and bass player of „The Twitch“, NZ winners of the 2005 World Battle of the Bands. And she is also a dedicated member of her newest project - „Pavlova and the Jandals“. Fleur wrote her first song when she was eight years old and started seriously writing when she was a teenager. She has played music all around her home New Zealand and also in Australia, Hong Kong and Canada. After high school she spent a year busking on Auckland’s Queen street making enough money to get by and meeting just the right amount of people to push her into the right direction. Her dream was always to be playing her originals in bars by her 18th birthday. And she reached this goal. She met people that persuaded her to go to the music school MAINZ. Two years later she finished with a Diploma in contemporary performance music and won a number of awards: “Songwriter of the Year”, “Performer of the Year” and "Outstanding Overall Student". Through music school she met Josh and Jesus who became her band „The Twitch“. Together with the band she won the NZ final of „World Battle of the Bands“ in 2005. In the world final in Hong Kong they made it to the second place. The Twitch try to tour a lot and play cool Rock and Roll music. They have just released their second album „Time for Change“. Fleur started a new musical venture lately where she get to bring her own style a bit more to and „Pavlova & The Jandals“have just done their first tour. But her biggest dream is to record a solo album that showcases her songwriting style and says something about the world that people can relate to, believe in and love.
